(579) last man standing by David Baldacci

My first impression was there are lots of names and references to note. After a while I realised that it is a well written and researched book, in the league of the Bourne series.

This book touched on the spouses and the serving members of FBI needing psychiatric therapy. Of course there is a rogue psychiatrist who lined his own pocket while selling information obtained in hypnosis. The plot was tightly woven with many characters, it was difficult to tell which was good and which was bad. An entire team of HRT was gunned down in a supposed drug bust except Web London who for some reason froze the precise moment his team mates ran towards the ambush. While dealing with survivor's guilt, he worked at unraveling the layers of deception wrapped around a victim's mother who exacted her revenge by killing using explosives and gun.
