(661) Falling for Rachel by Nora Roberts

As a stand alone love story, this is ok reading. What I sense a little false is the fact that Rachel is a public defender. It is odd that though I personally do not know a public defender, I still feel that the story is not quite authentic. So far I have spent years listening to a litigation lawyer, a conveyancing lawyer and a former lower court judge. The conversations between Rachel and the client somehow does not sound realistic. Of course this is my personal opinion, and it may be wrong.

It is good to have the usual happy ending. I know it sounds old and statistically unreal. But reality is brutal, it is a blessed relief that in romance stories one is spared from tragedy and sad endings.
