(671) A long lost friend

I was in the same school with this beautiful woman since I was five. Some how we managed to attend three different institutions together in the span of twelve years. Then we went our separate ways. We found each other in our thirties.

Surprisingly, I found her unchanged. From caring for hurt little animals, she went on to heal companies, which made her a bundle of money. Then she found her calling in learning to heal people -- not exactly physically as in that of a doctor's job, but more holistically. Recently she is involved in healing the earth. She is still perky and animated, even though she says she is growing old. She is bright and articulate. When she talks about her journey in finding herself, I could close my eyes and imagine I am attending an expensive commercial seminar held by a world renown motivational speaker.

What is it that cause this competitive person switch from her regular diet of high power boardroom power struggle to introspective matters as in one's inner life, and much later to such a broad topic as our environment? There is no easy answer, except possibly: it is meant to be.
