When Auntie Long was working as a mother's helper, her master's dad passed away. The undertakers came and dressed the dead in grave clothes and placed him in an open coffin. Few hours later, a pregnant daughter came wailing and kept calling the deceased. (according to Chinese beliefs, a pregnant woman possesses four eyes, she has two and her child has two, she should not mourn any relatives as she is thought to have super natural ability to call back the dead)
He revived. Everyone was frightened out of their wits. All ran away. The teenage Auntie Long ran with her charges into the out house and locked themselves securely in the stinking wooden outhouse. Apparently the police was called in the pandemonium. A coroner turned up, after much questioning and a physical check up, the funeral was canceled. All mourners departed leaving the immediate family behind.
The man who was resurrected claimed he was given an extra three years at the Pearly Gate. Meanwhile his behavior totally changed. From an old and mature man, he turned into a child like creature. He liked playing with water in the bath house. Unless he was watched, he would steal food and hide it somewhere on his person for later consumption. He would play tricks on anyone when opportunities arise.
Interestingly he did die within three years of his first 'death'.
